Medical applications of nuclear technology

People are not unanimous in their opinions on nuclear power. However, nuclear technology has many applications. This section of the website gives information on some medical applications that are highly valued by everybody.

NRG undertakes important activities in the medical sectors. A lot of our medical activities are not very well known to the public. This section provides information on those activities. In addition we will provide links to other sources of information on nuclear medicine.

The reactor is owned by the European Union. NRG operates the reactor. The HFR is used for research, production of isotopes for the medical sectors and the treatment (irradiation) of patients.
