Isotopes production for medical and other applications
Charlton, K. (Kevin), charlton@nrg.eu
NRG is a major producer of radionuclides for the medical sectors. It services 60%
of the European demand.
For additional information, we refer to the information of our product group
Fuels, Actinides and Isotopes (FAI).
Person dosimetry
NRG manages the person dosimetry of many companies in the Netherlands.
The staff of those companies wears a dose meter that periodically is
checked by NRG. For more information see the pages of the
Dosimetry service.
Radiobiology and health physics
Dr. R. Huiskamp, huiskamp@nrg.eu
For more information see the pages of the product group
Radiation & Environment (RE).
Measurement of radioactivity and isotope analysis
Ir. T.J.H. de Groot, t.degroot@nrg.eu
Measurement of alfa-, beta, and gamma activity in all types of matrices.
Every year, very large numbers of samples are analysed on a routine basis for
clients of various businesses. We also perform non-routine complex analyses like
those of difficult matrices, or those requiring very low levels of detection.
For more information see the pages on
Analysis of radioactivity & isotope analysis.
BNCT/Irradiation
The BNCT therapy is part of a European medical programme.
Several research institutes/companies (like the JRC and NRG in Petten)
and hospitals (like the VU in Amsterdam) participate in the programme.
NRG does not make the selection of patients; requests for treatment of
patients should not be addressed to NRG.
The coordination of the medical programme is the responsibility of the university of Essen (Germany).
Prof.dr.med. Wolfgang Sauerwein, w.sauerwein@uni-essen.de,
