Introductie
NRG (een ECN/KEMA bedrijf) is een sterke partij in Europese 'nuclear data'
projecten.
EJ2-MCNPlib
The EJ2-MCNPlib library consists of several modules, which enable the user
to perform state-of-the-art reactivity-, shielding and
criticality calculations.
The following modules are currently available:
-
The T = 293.16 K JEF-2.2 library.
This base module of the library contains neutron scattering data for all 313 nuclides
from the JEF-2.2 evaluation.
-
The T = 600 K and T = 900 K JEF-2.2 libraries.
These modules contain neutron scattering data for those nuclides from
the JEF-2.2 evaluation which are relevant for fission reactor
calculations.
-
The T = 293.16 K EFF-2.4 library.
This module contains neutron scattering data for the 78 nuclides
from the EFF-2.4 evaluation.
EFF-2.4 contains high-quality neutron scattering data for
structural materials and other fusion-relevant materials.
-
The T = 293.16 K EFF-3.0 library.
This module contains neutron scattering data for nuclides
available on the EFF-3.0 evaluation (e.g. latest data for 56Fe and V).
-
The JEF-2.2 based thermal data library.
This module contains thermal neutron scattering data for nuclides
from the JEF-2.2 thermal evaluation.
EIJ2-XMAS
The EIJ2-XMAS library contains group cross-section data in the 172-group
XMAS structure.
Data are available for a range of temperatures, from 293.6 up to 2500 K,
and are given for several values of the background cross section.
The EIJ2-XMAS library contains over 300 nuclides from the JEF-2.2 evaluation and
is intended for use in general-purpose reactivity-, criticality-
and shielding calculations.
ECNAF95
The ECNAF95 library is a dedicated library for activation-,
transmutation- and burnup calculations.
It is based on the well-known European EAF-4.1 evaluation
(made at NRG/ECN) with extensions for actinides and
can be used in combination with the inventory and burnup code FISPACT.
Data in other formats can be delivered as well.
ECNORILIB
The ECNORILIB library contains data for use in activation
and transmutation calculations with ORIGEN-S.
Data are based on the European JEF-2.2 and EAF-3.1 evaluations.
ORIGEN-2 data files can be delivered upon request for all current reactor types.
ECNMEF
The ECNMEF library is a general-purpose medium-energy neutron data library based
on medium-energy neutron evaluations (En > 20 MeV).
The library can be used in combination with the code MCNP4A.
DOSCROS84
The well-known NRG/ECN-made DOSCROS84 library contains data for use
in dosimetry calculations with the code SAND.
Data are given in the 640-group SAND-II structure.
Additionally, the GAMLIB library contains gamma ray energies and
emission probabilities (with uncertainties) for most of the dosimetry reactions.
ECNDOSLIB
The ECNDOSLIB library contains data for use in dosimetry calculations with MCNP4A.
Data are based on the IRDF-90.2 evaluation.
Quality assurance
Cross section data are the result of many processing steps, starting from
raw experimental data and ending with data structured and formatted
for use by a particular computer code. We have expert knowledge of all
these steps, including the adaptation and validation of data processing
codes. Our working procedures are in accordance with NQA-1 and ISO-9001.
Verification and validation
The quality of nuclear data is crucial when high-quality nuclear analyses
are to be performed.
Extensive attention was therefore given to the verification
of the processed libraries.
Several selected experiments were used for the validation of cross-section data
in the libraries.
Main features
The libraries mentioned above are all characterised by the
following:
-
High-quality nuclear data.
-
Extensive coverage of the periodic system.
-
Extensive verification.
-
User support.
