Travel from Schiphol Airport to Petten
The best way to travel from Schiphol Airport to the Petten site is the following:

To be able to use the organised bus transport at Alkmaar railway station, you should make sure that you take the train leaving at 09h40 or at 10h01 in the direction of AMSTERDAM CENTRAAL.

Change trains at station AMSTERDAM SLOTERDIJK (a ride of approximately 12 minutes) and take the Intercity train to ALKMAAR, leaving at 10h07 or 10h25.

Leave the train in ALKMAAR and take the exit BERGERHOF (rear side of the staion). Here you will see the busses that take you to the Petten site, leaving at 11h00.

Travel from Schiphol Airport to hotel
The best way to travel from Schiphol Airport to the hotel is the following:

At Schiphol railway station you buy a so-called TREIN-TAXI TICKET for the journey from Heiloo railway station to the hotel in Egmond aan Zee, together with your train ticket to Heiloo railway station. This taxi ticket will cost you 4,10 Euro, which is much cheaper than the regular taxi fee to the hotel in Egmond aan Zee.

Trains leave for AMSTERDAM Centraal many times an hour, but make sure you take the one that leaves at .10 or .40 minutes past the hour, because this one will stop at railway station Heiloo. Only from here your trein-taxi ticket to the hotel is valid.

Change trains at station AMSTERDAM SLOTERDIJK (a ride of approximately 11 minutes) and take the Intercity train to ALKMAAR, leaving from gate 4 at .07 and .37 minutes past the hour. This one will stop at HEILOO station (a ride of approximately 30 minutes), where you leave the train.

In front of Heiloo railway station you will find the so-called TREIN-TAXI at the blue-yellow pillar with the sign. This taxi will take you to the hotel in Egmond aan Zee.
